Austerity, Poverty and Protests is a panel event that explores the effects of austerity and cuts in Nottingham and what is being done locally to help to ease the situations of those affected. This event has been organised because of, and speaks to, the Poverty in St Ann's exhibit in the local part of the Journey to Justice: Nottingham exhibition.

There will be an introduction by Abi Rhodes, an M3C/AHRC funded PhD researcher at The University of Nottingham, on the meaning of 'austerity', followed by talks from Louise Regan, Vice President of the NUT, Cllr Steve Battlemuch and Chris Dearden, author of 'The True Cost of Austerity' for Advice Nottingham.

All welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
